The tango scene is small but friendly in Helena, Montana. We are an enthusiastic non-profit organization that shares a passion for tango. This website is meant as a place for us to share information regarding tango events, technique and other tango information to help promote Argentine tango in our community. We welcome you to join us at various tango events.

Of all the dances, the Argentine Tango is unique in its construction and dynamic. Danced in a  close embrace, it utilizes a free rhythmic pattern in which the dancers have to really listen to the music and interpret it on the spot. It is rather like jazz improvisation with freedom to move within a certain musical structure. It makes for a very interesting puzzle combining the elements of space and time and coordination with another person. It becomes an engaging activity which takes time to master but somehow gets under your skin in the process; thus the “passion” of Argentine Tango.
