Tango Classes April 19th-May 24th

6:15pm-9:45pm at 15 Placer St Studio

We are trying a NEW FORMAT for our Thursday night classes beginning April 19th.  We will have THREE 1-hour classes beginning at 6:15 pm!

Tango Basics Classes with Linda Angeloni and Joe O'Connor.

Basics is for anyone who wants to learn this wonderful dance. No experience or partner necessary. We rotate partners throughout class.  Please bring slippery-soled shoes (no street shoes on the dance floor). More experienced students can attend the basic class (in addition to their own class) at no extra charge to work on technique and welcome the new people.

$40 per person, $70 per couple.

Practica:  7:15 - 7:30 pm Practice dance open to all.  Free

Beyond Basics Classes with Grace Hodges and Patrick Marsolek. Series Topic: Fun with Crosses

For those who've had at least two six-week series of Tango Basics classes, you can continue to work on your technique and start learning a few more complicated moves in this class, but still at a relatively slow pace.  This is considered an upper-level  Beginner's class.

$45 per person, $80 per couple.

Continuing Tango Classes with Julie Tabler and Phil Robison. Series Topic: Ganchos, Sacadas, and the Sliding Embrace.

Continuing Tango is great for experienced dancers wanting to learn intermediate moves and technique. This class moves at a faster pace, so there are the prerequisites of two six-week Beyond Basics classes (or equivalent) and permission of the instructor. (Please talk to your instructor if you are ready to graduate into Continuing Tango, or contact TangoHelena.)

$45 per person, $80 per couple.

Practica:  9:30 - 9:45 pm Practice dance open to all.  Free.

Drop-ins pay $10 per class, or $9 ($1 off each class) for FROTH members & students.
