Workshop with Murat and Michelle Erdemsel

Friday, April 13th through Sunday, April 15th
The Windsor Ballroom, 415 N. Last Chance Gulch, on the top floor

Murat and Michelle are two of the most creative and dynamic teachers of Argentine tango in the world.  For two years running they received the highest evaluations of any teachers at Valentango (the most prestigious tango festival in the U.S.), and their workshop with us last year got rave reviews.  Their classes go far beyond teaching steps and patterns, to open up new ways to engage with the music, our partners, and our own movements in this beautiful dance. 

M&M dance and teach all over the world.  As teachers they're approachable, clear, dynamic, and very funny.  As dancers they're an incredible treat to watch.   A chance to spend a whole weekend learning from them is not to be missed!

Members of the Helena community will be helping to provide housing for out-of-town guests. If you need housing or can offer housing (including floor space for someone with a sleeping bag), please contact Patrick.

Friday evening, April 13th through Sunday, April 15th, 2012 Friday:  6:30 - 7:30   Class #1 - Flowing in and out.               7:30 - 9:30   Diagnostic Practica led by Murat and Michelle Have the chance to dance with and receive feedback from Murat or Michelle or any of a host of teachers from surrounding areas (Bozeman, Coeur d'Alene, etc.) Saturday:  11:00 - 12:15  class #2 - Musicality for small spaces.                      ** lunch break **                    1:45 - 3:00  class #3 - Dancing to the orchestras.                    3:15 - 4:30  class #4 - our favorite social dancing material                      8:30 - Pre-milonga, beginners class                   9:00pm - 1:00 am  Milonga                        includes performance by Murat and Michelle Sunday:  11:00 - 12:15  class #5 - Digging into turns & ocho cortado                    ** lunch break **                 1:45 - 3:00  class #6 - Games with music.                      ** say thanks and goodbye to M&M **                 3:15 - 4:30  closing practica: practice whatever                       material from the workshop you want to work on.

We'll have a Tango Exchange: buy or sell gently used tango shoes, clothes, etc.

All classes and the Saturday night milonga will be held in the Winsdor Ballroom. This beautiful sprung hardwood floor is in the historic Iron Front Hotel in heart of downtown Helena.
